Full linear power modification to OPPO 93

 

 

1. remove 5 of DC-DC converter ICs and choke coils.

The bottom of DC-DC converters IC is soldered to mother boards.

 

So remove solder of IC pins first and take out IC with applying heat to the IC for with solder hot air gun.

 

 

 

 

 

   

 

And be careful that the pins of IC are not touched each other with remaining ( residue ) solder.

  

 

 

   

 

2. put the main power supply board to the OPPO 93 case and connect to the AC cable. Make sure LED is ON ( Be careful that two lead of blue wire is not touched each other .)

 

 

 

   

 

3. connect the blue wires to the socket of B board and connect gray wires and violet wires as shwon in picture .

   

4. place B board to the case of OPPO 93 as shown in picture .

And put the glue gun in the 4 legs and red box to fix the position .

5. connect 5 wires of B board to the socket of C board.

Be careful to the order of wires

 

1.1 V : red

1.8V : orange

1.8V : orange

3.3V : Green

Ground : Brown

 

 

and connect 3.3 V wires ( gray and brown wires ) to the OCXO board.

 

 

 

 

 

6. position the C board on the mother board and make sure 5 leads of C board are just on the right position which was choke coils are removed.

 

    

   

7. Using hot glue gun, make strong contact the C board to main board.

   

 

 

8. Then solder 5 leads of C board to main board.

 

 

 

9. connect the ground wire from main power supply to the position of B board as show in picture.

 

 

 

10, then finished. recheck all the wires and put AC power.

It will work surely if made no mistake.

  I recommend to make big hole in upper case to remove heat as shown in pictures.
